Can confirm. A skeptical mindset, and I mean that within healthy limits, tempts to be viewed as nihilistic or depressing/depressed. There seems to be this aura of self-destructiveness and sadness surrounding the idea of skeptical-inquiry prone individuals. What’s funny is, for me personally, inquiry and testing out hypotheses have brought cohesion to my perspective and life, rather than depression.
