I am amazed at how much your experience echoes a lot of experiences people have with discussing mental illness (Have you tried exercising, it does wonders for depression?). By my very constitution, I cannot dare claim to relate directly. But I do hear you. I do feel empathy. I do care. My only unsolicited advice? Keep talking, don’t let the lack of empathy silence you. It does matter. It does occasionally hit something other than a wall. For what it’s worth.
