I personally hate self-help with a fucking passion, because the better part of it is utter bullshit — money-making bullshit is still bullshit. Which I guess makes me a part of your target audience. So I think people who hate self-help love your self-help articles precisely because they don’t feel like a religion being enforced.
Your work never feels like you’re trying to sell me your ultimate truth in exchange for my email address or like you’re speaking down from atop a mountain of condescending self-worship. It feels like an exploration, a debate, a theory being offered one equal debate partner to another, one seeker to another.
So here’s to not nailing the self-love trend and just appreciating one’s success while being aware of one’s improvement points. Here’s to self-exploration and questioning your own thought processes. Here’s to the self-love atheists.
