You guys are definitely on to something. And I appreciate your stubborn spirit. I must admit, I caved and subscribed. It felt eww-y to give in, but now it's out of sight, out of mind, just a monthly automatic transaction I barely think about. That's how they get you, I guess. If more people were as determined as you are, this type of aggressive advertising wouldn't pay off anymore and advertisers would be forced to stop. Those of us who give in are sadly feeding the very BS we despise. Advertising is often a reflection of what we're willing to put up with as consumers.
